These photographs were created over a succession of changing seasons in a wilderness area managed by the Bradley Wood Scout Camp, West Yorkshire, England. Since I first explored it 20 years ago, the wood attracted me as a purposeful arena for existential contemplation and experimentation in the practice of subjective photographic seeing. The process of returning to this familiar place and witnessing both subtle and radical change, altered my perceptions. Possibly contained within the wood itself is the same mysterious, regenerative, infinity that mirrors both the greater ecosystem and the personal, experiential sensation of interpreting vision.
